Endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR)
Endovascular Aneurysm Repair(EVAR)
This procedure is meant for patients who have a narrow abdominal aorta aneurysm.
The treatment involves an incision to the femoral artery and moving a stent catheter from the femoral artery into the abdominal aorta.
The stent is opened up with a balloon catheter at the site of obstruction and the stent is implanted there to restore blood flow.
The imaging of the procedure is done with real-time fluoroscopic techniques.
